ABOUT
Get to know me and the vision behind Rooted Movement, where it came from, what it stands for, and what you can expect.

My Movement Journey
I’ve loved movement for as long as I can remember. I danced ballet for 12 years, explored rhythmic gymnastics, tried modern and contemporary dance… and that was just the beginning. I started yoga at 16 and later added strength training, tennis, pole dance, and barre into the mix. Each practice brings something different to the table, and I’ve learned to embrace all of them. For me, movement is holistic.
I also value stillness. Finding the balance between activity and calm, energy and rest, is something I try to carry into my life and my practice.
I got my 200H YTT in 2020 and have since taught in multiple locations around Amsterdam. I’m passionate about creating a community of movers, people who love to explore, try new things, and connect through movement. While I continue to teach flowing yoga and grounding mindfulness practices, I’m also expanding my teachings into other movement styles.
The Name
Rooted Movement comes from two ideas that are close to my heart. Rooted reflects my origins, my culture, and the grounding I carry with me. Movement represents curiosity, flow, and variety.
I don’t teach in one fixed space. I bring my classes to different studios and spaces around Amsterdam. So in a way, I’m literally rooted in movement. Together, the name is a reminder that you can find stillness and balance while moving, and feel connected wherever you practice.
